West Midlands brutiful progressive metal band. Recall The Remains are a five piece progressive metal band hailing from the rural county of Shropshire, formed in 2010. The sound has recently been redirected to that of a classically based style pulling heavily on new influences. As the name suggests, the band use a neoclassical writing style to steer away from generic song structures and soundscapes, whilst using modern day metal techniques to heavy up the sound. The lyrics for the songs are pulled from the band’s own religious and political beliefs. Early influences include bands such as Haste the Day, Oh sleeper and The Amity Affliction. The band have since moved onto drawing inspiration from more technical influences, included but not limited to Corelia, Nightwish and Tool. Through the years the band have played a variety of venues, from small clubs and pubs in their local area as well as clubs and larger venues in Birmingham and Shrewsbury; supporting bands such as Follow You Home, Siderian, Ashes to Angels and many more. They have always been well recieved for their brutal and beautiful sound whilst delivering a lively, interactive performance.
